Apple Cider Pumpkin Cake

While looking at some food blogs, we came across this recipe. Excited to try another pumpkin recipe, we bought the ingredients and starting baking. This recipe is very simple and turned out pretty well. It's great if you want something simple and hassle-free. Next time we may even experiment with a different cake mix flavor.


Cake
Ingredients - yellow cake mix and one 15oz can of pumpkin

In a bowl, mix the pumpkin and cake mix.




Put the batter into a greased pan (we used an 8x8, but the original recipe uses a 7x11) and bake at 350 F for somewhere around 25 or 30 minutes (whenever an inserted toothpick comes out clean)


Apple Cider Glaze


Ingredients: 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, 1 cup powdered sugar, and 2 tablespoons apple cider


Whisk ingredients until completely mixed.


Spread the glaze over the cake (after it has cooled) and enjoy!
