Turkey Chili

Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup chopped sweet onions
3 cloves minced garlic (personal preference)
1 chopped bell peppers
1.25 pound ground turkey
1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes (undrained)
1 (16 oz) can red kidney beans (drained and rinsed)


Sautee chopped onion and pepper in olive oil (vegetable oil works fine also). Add in minced garlic after a couple minutes so it does not burn.We used 3 cloves.

Brown turkey and add in sauteed veggies.
Add in the rest of the ingredients and bring to a simmer.
Let simmer for about an hour. Leave uncovered to allow some of the liquid to cook off. If it has reached desired consistency but you want to continue to cook/warm it, just put a lid on.
BTWs, goes great with corn bread!
